Frenchs Point: a Private Seaside Estate Wedding Venue
For weddings taking place with a full weekend of events, French’s Point offers a coastal setting stretched across the Penobscot River.
The estate wedding venue in Maine resides over a 14-acre peninsula, creating an unforgettable setting where milestone moments are best enjoyed in the company of university friends and cherished family members.
The meticulous landscaped grounds of Frenchs Point give way to wedding ceremonies overlooking the rocky shores and tented celebrations adjacent to the estate house.
Kat and Justin’s French’s Point wedding was a fête planned with carefully curated details and thoughtfully designed experiences. The couple drew on the distinctive charm of weddings hosted in New England, using a chic perspective to enhance their guests' dining service.
Once Kat and Justin exchanged their wedding vows, the first stop they made was to the raw bar. Along with their guests, they enjoyed freshly shucked oysters and a selection of seafood as a starter before their plated dinner service.
The newlyweds enlisted the help of a raw bar chef, who was on hand to crack open the shells, ensuring guests could enjoy oysters on the half shell, as they wished.
Tabletop Decor for a Tented Wedding in Maine
Oftentimes, when planning a tented wedding, whether in Maine at French’s Point or another location in New England, couples are required to work with a professional rental company to create a well-placed dinner setting for each of their guests.
With their vision of a Eurpoen inspired-garden wedding in New England close at hand, we worked with Kat and Justin to select tabletop decor befitting their tented wedding celebration.
Overall, planning involved sourcing items befitting the overall tone and color palette of their French’s Point wedding.
To accomplish this, libations were served to guests in our Gladys Coupe glasses, providing an inspired point of view that allowed guests to ‘raise a glass’ in honor of the newlyweds.
The soft, creamy hue of our Ella Flatware was carefully placed against floral linens featuring muted tones of pink and red.
The final element that added an enhanced touch to guests' dinner place settings was our Gladys Watercup. Positioned alongside wine goblets, it allowed guests a pairing for dinner with a palate cleanser nearby.
